Business was slow this morning so I decided to go to Floyd's for a shave and a haircut. Kristeena S, my barber, did a great job with both.

The shave consisted of a two pass shave with a Shave Factory Shavette and a Personna blade. She really took her time with pre-shave prep and post shave and the results were great....much better than other barbershop shaves that I have had.

She started off with hot towels and a pre-shave cream and then used a shave-oil and brushless shave cream for the actual shave. She was adept with the Shavette and left me with a DFS. After the shave, she applied a cold towel and some witch hazel and then massaged my face with an aftershave balm.

If you are in the Southbay area of Los Angeles (Hermosa Beach in particular), I recommend making an appointment with Kristeena @ (310) 372-3240

Have to admit, I've never gone elsewhere to get a shave. Always done it myself. Someday, I'll be brave enough!

Business was slow? Guys, that means you're not buying enough shaving items. Better step it up!

John, you picked up on that also. At least the enabler went for a shave instead of a cold beer and a movie, or worse.Smile

If I ever get out your way Phil, I will put this on my list of things to do.

Maybe you should become the official supplier for Floyd 99.

People must be reeling from having to pay thier taxes...Don't worry, Phil, the Independent Foreclosure Review Checks should be pouring into people's mailboxes shortly, so business should pick-up once those start rolling in...sort of like a second tax refund day! They are paying out an estimated 3.1 BILLION dollars to people who had a foreclosure during the economic downturn...Perhaps that will boost business a bit! Huh

Thank you Matt. Yes, I do think it has something to do with tax season. There are always ups and downs. I figured while it was slow though, I should take advantage. Biggrin

There are Floyds here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I have gone to a few for haircuts. I love all of the posters on the wall.

Thank god I'm not the only one experiencing this. I was beginning to think that no one loved me! Wink

There's a Floyd's 99 in Boston; perhaps I'll go over for a shave sometime. Glad to hear that you had a good experience.

I might take a trip to Floyd's 99 after I check them out.
