I have been DE Shaving for a few years now and dabbled in straights for a second and didn't have the patience but I have decided I wanna take the time to learn it properly now. A person from the uk forum I am a member of restores and makes new scales so I have ordered a razor from him, it's an Ator 11/16 with clear blue acrylic scales in a wave shape with a brass pin.

Good luck with your adventure. That's a nice looking razor.

I shaved with a straight for almost 30 years, then got away from it for almost 20 years, now I've got the itch again. It is not like riding a bicycle, you do have to learn again. Motor skills and muscle memory have changed a lot over the past 20 years, but I am enjoying the challenge.

Hi

Your new razor looks very! nice Thumbsup

I like the curve profile of the tang and think the shape and colour of the scales nicely compliment it...

Take care, Mike

Very nice razor, Ern makes some good stuff. I had one (ATOR) in mint condition and gave it to my son in law. He's a fine young man but I miss my (his) razor.

Yep, I agree with Oscar: ERN made some great razors, including the ATOR. That's a nice example you have there.

Enjoy the razor.
