Guys, I really love the look of the new barber-pole Omega "Hi Brush" that Phil is selling. I think if it works as nice as it looks, I really should have one. For those of us who've had the pleasure of using it, what are your opinions? I've never knowingly used a synthetic brush. Is this the one for me?

That handle is truly beautiful! Not sure about the knot though. Hopefully someone will chime in soon.

Wow, what a great handle!
If it is any thing like my Frank Shaving synthetic brushes, then it should be a great brush.
Good luck, Gary.

Would that be a Canadian store and if not do they ship to Canada?

Thanks

I just searched them and can't see anywhere saying that they ship up north Canada way...???
I may have to get it shipped to a US address. The wife and her mom have a friend in Vermont that they visit when they go shopping in Burlington Vermont from time to time. That may be my only choice if'n Phil won't ship up here.

How about contacting Phil through his website. He responds promptly, and can address all of your concerns. Good luck!

Yes, I definitely ship to Canada. You just have to select International Shipping and then choose Canada from the drop down menu. The only thing that I cannot ship internationally is cologne and alcohol based aftershave splashes.

Well, that was going to be my next step but I don't like asking questions like that as I am sure they get asked that many, many times and one more goof like me asking it one more time...well, you know what I mean. And I thought someone here could point me in the right direction.

I now see that Phil has commented on my query.

Thanks.

Thank you. And the aftershave shipping thing I understand completely.

Thank you for answering my question on shipping.

I own the badger version and have the synthetic on the way from Phil. Once I receive it, I'll happily share my opinion of it. As for the badger version, as stated the handle is awesome, but the knot is too soft and lacking in backbone for my tastes. It's entirely useable and produces fine lather, but the feel of the knot is contra to my preferences.

Ben, I'm wondering whether the synthetic version of this brush is large enough, and how it performs in comparison to the badger version you've mentioned above. Have you had some opportunity to give your synth any use yet?

Gary, I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. My previous order arrived in Australia in only 10 days, this one must be taking the scenic route! Biggrin

Gary, I have a lovely Joris accompanying the Omega, so it will be worth the wait regardless. Biggrin
