Andrew - if you are interested PM your address and I will send you new tubes of Palmolive and Old Spice shave creams from India. Haven't used those creams myself but they are very well rated by many. My dad only uses either the Palmolive or Godrej cream.

Dettol is common in Indian markets. I see the lime often. It's a pretty decent performer.

I had some Dettol 'Cool' I really enjoyed once. I think Cool was more a description of the scent than a temperature gauge.

Where is this store? I've been looking for an Indian grocery in the Philadelphia area that sells shaving products. The only ones I know about, though, are the small ones in University City, and I wasn't able to find anything there. I'd like to be able to find the Palmolive locally.

This is up in Exton.

I'll see if my sister can find any of the palmolive cream. if she can, I'll get her to pick up a tube for you, if you'd like. Smile

That's very kind of you, but you don't have to go through the trouble of doing that. Just let me know if she sees any. I have some friends who live up in Exton, and I'll actually be going up there myself in a month or so. I have enough other products to last until 2017, so I think I can live without Palmolive for a while.

For whatever reason, all I see here is 'Fresh', which has an artificial lime scent.

That sucks. I had the same problem with 2-3 of the stores in Univ. City. I've always read that Indian grocery stores are great places to score cheap shaving goods, but it appears that's not the case if you live in SE PA.

The ones I've checked around here (Twin Cities, MN) are the same. Sad

You what guys, Vi-John Menthol cream is pretty good also. Not nearly as icy as Godrej Menthol, but it lathers great, smells decent, and cools enough. Good skincare also.

Oh, here is one cream from India which I do not recommend unless you like a strong scent - it's called Vicco Turmeric.

I've found some Indian stores with alum blocks and good Indian bath soap in them, but not much more than that.

Too bad they didn't have Godrej.
I'm lucky that my local Indian market carries it. They do tend to run out of my favorite type though (Menthol Mist).
The red tube is nice too. The only one I don't like much is the lime.
