I just received shipment of safety razors from the New York Shaving Company. According to a company representative as well as my sales rep, every component of these safety razors is made in the United States (Brooklyn I believe). So, it is made in the United States in the true sense of the word (and not just screwed together here).

I have added three models so far and I will add 5 more models after I have a chance to eat dinner and catch my breath a bit.

You can seem them here -NYSC Safety Razors

Funny, as nice as the razors are my eye was drawn to the box too. Classic and timeless - well thought out.

They look really nice, especially the three piece with the fat handle.

Thank you. Here is a group shot so you can get a better idea of scale.

Very nice indeed! Made in Brooklyn! How cool is that? My place of birth , home of the best pizza in the world , home of great shaving soaps and now this! Thanks for bringing a Made in USA shaver to the market.

The look great. The TTO looks similar to the Weishi safety razor. I know that it's not but it looks very similar. The Long/short Handled Tonsorial reminds me of the old 1914 Gillette Aristocrat bell tip. Very classy looking. Nice Phil.

That was my first thought as well based on the picture. To me though, this razor feels more solid. I need to play around with it a bit to form more of an opinion.

The heads of the three piece models are a plated zinc alloy. I believe that the core of the handles is brass but do not know for sure.

I am not sure what the silo doors and blade plate are made of in the TTO. I have emailed the owner of NYSC and am awaiting a reply.

The plot thickens. I had been told repeatedly over the phone by my sales rep that all of the components for these razors were U.S. made. I finally asked to have it in writing and the email that I received back from the owner of NYSC shows:

1) The TTO razor is definitely not made in the U.S.A.

2) The 3-piece razors are assembled in the U.S.A. and made from parts from overseas as well as U.S. parts (which parts are made where though is a mystery).

As this was not what I was lead to believe, I have removed them from my site. Anyone who purchased one of these razors will be issued a refund. What a nightmare!

Good on you for following up on this and making this known on the forum! I'm sure it is not going to be easy for you to sort out. Many vendors would have just went with it and passed on the bad info as good to their customers.

Btw, the resin handled razors look identical to the SABI resin handled ones. I believe those are made in either China (or perhaps Taiwan).

Phil, you're a stand up guy for making that public literally as soon as you found out. I hope you're not out of pocket for the stock that you bought if you'll be returning it.

Good on you for trying to support. an alleged US manufacturer. Good on you also for being up front as well as for pulling the product. You will always have my business from now on.

And btw, the shipment you sent me two weeks ago (Proraso soap and cream, alum and styptic) shipped super fast and packages well. Thank you!
