It looks like the only way to purchase Antica Barbieria Colla Bitter Almond Shaving Soap is a direct purchase from the company in Milan. It is sold in kilos, which is quite a bit more than I can handle. If anyone wants to share in the purchase with me, contact me and lets see what we can do.

Michael

Gents, if you like P.160 then you owe it to yourself to get in on this & try ABCBA. I have more than enough for myself but I'm sure SE others will enjoy the opportunity to use this fine soap.

I'm curious enough to consider purchasing even though benzaldehyde (the almond scent aromachemical) tends to burn my face. I think. Must try one more almond product to be sure. Confused Yeah, I'm following this thread closely and, although I'm not sending a PM yet, Michael, I very much want to.

I was just browsing the web shop for Antica Barbieria Colla at:
http://www.anticabarbieriacollashop.com/en/
I can't find the shaving soap for sale, only shampoos and lotions. Am I missing something?

They only sell it via special request. They have hinted at adding it to their online shop, but alas, not yet.

What Brian wrote.

If you want to purchase go to the site linked to and in the contacts or whatever it's called request it there. Francesca will get back to you. You're on your own from there. If you can get enough people for 2 blocks it'll help defray the extremely expensive shipping. BTW, you won't get 1kg. When we ordered it was more like 850 grams per block. It could be 1000ml, but I had no way to check that.

Thanks for the info. My Boellis Panama is dwindling, and I plan to give this a try in its stead.

How many ways can/should we split this?

Maybe a better starting point is how much to order to make shipping less burdensome?

As mentioned above two blocks would be the way to go since the shipping apparently remains the same. As per splitting it, I think we should do either 4 or 6. Beyond that it might be too cumbersome for the person who buys.

IIRC we had 10 guys in on the split of 1 block over at SMF. In my ABCBA lather video you can get an idea of how much soap I got for 1/10th since I've probably only used it about 6-7 times so far.

How much to order for maximum efficiency? Ask Francesca. She's very helpful.

Our 2nd block during the SMF order rode along for free, but I have no idea if that happens all the time or if it happens for 3 blocks.

If 10 split 2 blocks, it would be more than enough for everybody. about 5.5 - 6 oz each?
Who wants to be the buyer? Biggrin

The 2 blocks from SMF were a bit different. 1 block was split by 2 people. BrianK & Johnny I think. The other block was split by 10 others.
