I assume they are. You can contact Yorish through her Etsy site and ask. She has been great in responding to emails.

Assuming she still makes them of clay pottery and fires them in her kiln, there shouldn't be any danger of exposure to high temperatures, hot water and detergents. Please let us know if she says not to put it in the dishwasher.

Thank you, will have to do that. Been using water that was warmed and then poured into the scuttle. Be a lot easier if I could just put the whole thing in the microwave.

I live in Israel and last year I sent an email to Michal described what an scuttle is and asked her if she could make one for me. I didn't heard from her in a while and I thought she forgot about my strange request. In meanwhile I bought some other scuttle.
But it turns out she didn't forgot and she started making scuttles and very good ones. This is what she made for me last week, the scuttles are double walled

I ordered this scuttle from Michal Yoresh who lives in Modi'in, Israel. Excellent service. She has a site on Etsy.

Take care,
Ed

Very innovative and attractive.
I especially like the ridges radiating from the centre. They rather than the circular ones will aid greatly in creating a lather.

When I use my Yoresh scuttle, it justs makes me feel comfortable. That's an odd thing to say, but the colors and the size and proportions are somehow just right. I imagine the potter working hard in her shop, surrounded by her creations.

Michal is a wonderful person and very talented. I bought from her Etsy store also something small for my wife and she enjoyed it very much.
