I just noticed Shaveabuck is featuring a gold Sabi T1 & T2 models but when I clicked on Sabi razors they were both "sold out" and to add to the drama there were no pictures of them. There were probably only a couple in stock and someone grabbed them.

The box came Saturday but wifey missed the postman. I have to wait till monday to get them. I have 100 of them, 60 40 I believe.

I am not sure how they turned out and if she platted the heads for me or not. Might be gold handles with silver heads...stay tuned.

I am hoping for a good gold plating job.

It should be, she always does good work with the silver or chrome models.

There are plenty more projects in the works but the boards can be a bit grueling to get new products accepted. The Gold adjustable is living proof of that.

Platting is quite good and even the heads came plated. She initially ststed only the handles but I am pleased to see even the heads.

Hey, Joe! I'd love it if you could convince one of the modern manufacturers to design a new open-comb TTO. I'd think that Cadet could do that nicely!

And the Sabi T2 looks great. I feel my trigger finger getting itchy . . .

What would be the design for the new TTO you have in mind. TTO is not a big seller believe it or not. Three piece outsells TTO's but tell me what you would like to see.

Either a clone of the '34 Aristocrat or Senator/Sheraton would be pretty cool.

I'm with PanChango on this one. I think those are beautiful razors. And I'd think that an open-comb TTO would appeal to enthusiasts--especially members of the Brotherhood of The Open Comb.

It also seems to me that it shouldn't be too hard to figure out an open-comb version of the Weishi--preferably bulked up somewhat.

Imagine an equivalent of the handle from the gold-plated Sabi T-2 mounted to an open-comb TTO head. That would be stunning!

How about a short, FAT handled OC and safety bar razor in chrome and gold. Got a little change in my pocket going BLING-A-BLING-A-LING!

I have asked for a Sheraton myself. Told they will work on it but uncertain where the project is.

I think the roping on some of the old Gillette handles is a bit too much these days for a mass produced razor. I know the fellow in Spain was duplicating that roping but I will follow up on these and see what we can do.

Gold razors are slow these days, everyone is used to a silver or chrome.

The Sheraton would be completely awesome.

I like the gold open-comb TTOs, but I'd be delighted with a silver or chrome OC TTO!

Another cool design: a black-handled OC TTO. I love the looks of the short-handled TP-26 that I got from you a week or so ago, Joe--and I love the way it shaves! If those looks and open-comb performance could be married to a TTO--magnifique!

I know: I'm just dreaming. But an ol' boy can dream, can't he?
