Hey Guys here are two new restores I did.

The Tall long handled Rubberset is a TGN Finest XH 26mm knot, I set it at around 47mm I like my brushes with a bit of backbone to them, The softness of the TGN finest surprised me its actually well worth the money it is really prickly like most two bands when dry but when lathered and wet it is soft like butter.

The short Rubberset is a different choice then my normal badgers it is 22mm synthetic from TGN as well its knot is 22mm loft is 51mm, I have used Franks synthetics before and figured why not save this handle and put some life back into it, The hair is very similar to Franks Synthetic but not as "springy" I would say, Im very happy with the results The brush isn't actually for me its for my son he said he wanted a soft blue brush so I made him this one to use and enjoy.

I left the Blue rubberset with a matte finish so its easy for him to hold on too, I was going to polish it up to a nice shine like the Tall Rubberset but figured he made his requests quite clear .....He helped sand the blue one down to take the scratches out and he said that was enough so I leave as it is Smile

Overall im very impressed with the TGN knot quality I have used the TGN a few times over the years and haven't had an issue, The only thing I find is with the synthetic the glue bump is large in the knot and had to sink the knot a little deeper then what I wanted to hide the glue.

I have no skills to enable me to do what you've done here. That's why I love seeing restore pictures. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Given my short time with one, I agree with your assessment with the TGN Finest knots. They're very nice!

That tall handled rubber set is a beauty. I know what you mean about the finest, they are very soft when wet. I have 2 and they are my favorites.
