I don't know why but I'm obsessed with the smell of the Proraso Blue Cream. I smell it every chance I get. Anyone else a fan of this scent?

I think that it's great a scent. I was really surprised, but it's quite nice.

Yes I am a fan as well. I have no idea how to describe it though! Some people say anise but I don't get that. Kind of a pleasant medicinal scent??

I had a weird reaction to this scent: I really liked it when I opened the tube, but I didn't like it when I put in on my face. I found myself sniffing it a few times and thinking, "This smells really good. Why don't I use it more?" But I ended up giving it to someone else.

I think it smells great. Like licorice . It performs just as good as it smells as well. I think proraso did an amazing job with their new product line.

I am not a fan. I tried to like it, but just couldn't do it. I much prefer the green to the blue.

Not a fan. at all.

although in general im not even a fan of any of the proraso products. i dont like menthol, sandalwood is boring and the blue smells awful. and for me there are much better performers out there than what proraso provides

I have yet to try the blue. I enjoy the red and got rid of the green and white as I can't handle menthol in my lather. Does the blue cream have menthol or any cooling effect?

The blue has a hint of menthol in it. I feel a slight cooling on my second or third pass .

When I got my tube of blue, I was a bit worried as I had the scent described to me as dirty laundry. But I agree with the above statement of it smelling great when being lathered.

In fact, this is one of the only products that my wife absolutely loves the scent of!

I like Proraso Blue, but can definitely see why it's such a polarizing scent. Rather medicinal, but not in the camphorous French lavendar/rosemary way of MdC or even Noxema face cream. I suspect that the high concentration of Aloe accounts for the note that some perceive as "dirty laundry". If you've ever smelled raw Aloe off the plant, it's very distinctive, almost like iodine. Some people describe it as "armpitty" Tongue. I wonder if individual sensitivity to the scent of Aloe & its discordant interplay with the actual "fragrance" may help explain why many perceive the scent quite differently. Just a thought. Of course there are deodorized versions of Aloe in products, so maybe the armpit note is part of the fragrance Biggrin

Like you I love the scent and sniff it every chance I get, but I do this with Cella. After using this stuff for the past month almost exclusively I still can't get enough of it.

Yes. As Luke said, the Blue has a mild cooling sensation. Nowhere nearly as much as the Green, or even the White.
