Teiste and I were talking about having a banner made for the Shave Nook site. Are there any members with a talent for graphic design? If so, we would love to hear from you. bn

If we all submitted pics of our favorite brush loaded up with the thickest lather we could gin up, maybe somebody could do a collage of it? I don't have the software skills for it, but I'm sure somebody here may...

Perhaps an image of an old style barber chair....
These I found easily with a Google search. I think it's likely one or more owners of such images would give permission for use. Or alternatively, perhaps one of our more artistically talented forum members could draw an image of a barber chair like these.

I was wondering why we don't at least use the Simply Shaving logo for now?

Ken owns the SS logo so we really can not use it. Besides, this is a completely new site and we need to form our own identity. Using the Simply Shaving logo would only cause confusion.

That's pretty good! bn Do you mind if I use it on my website to direct people to the Nook?

does it come with free stuff?haha, just kidding. I think that is a great idea, and would love to see that. Also, I have the image of just the blank blade saved so if you wanted to search <!-- m -->http://www.dafont.com/<!-- m --> for something you might like better let me know, and I'll throw it together.

Forgive me for pointing this out but you do realize that performance is misspelled. Also, since we are The Shave Nook, I'd like to see the word "The" in the logo, if that's okay. One last thing, we are open to all wet shavers whether they use SEs, DEs, or straights. Do you think the DE blade would be somewhat limiting as a logo?

Please understand, I happen to think the logo is beautiful! (and a real eye catcher, too ; } ). These are just some thoughts that crossed my mind, though.

Thanks for hearing me out.

Freddy

The blade and idea are pretty good, but I'm with Freddy on this one. I would like it to be more along the lines of the title. Maybe a picture of a true shave nook, or a rendition there of.

Just thinking out loud.

I like this, but agree that it should have "The Shave Nook" on top in a more minimalist font (like you might actually find on a printed blade).

Other ideas besides "Hi-Performance Steel" might be...
1) This blade won't get discontinued!
2) Your Milage May Vary
3) the simplest answer is usually the right one

you can probably leave the same font on shave nook just lower it a bit and write "The" in different font small letters on the top left side.

How about "Traditional Shaving Forum" or "Wetshaving Forum"?

Oooo ... I really like "traditional shaving forum" for the bottom of the blade tag
