Bluebeard's Revenge is a modern brand that kind of took the wet shaving world by storm two years ago. Last summer though, they experienced trademark and/or copyright issues in the United States and could no longer be imported. They have been re-branded for the U.S. market as Dreadnought and should become available in May if all goes smoothly.

For those interested, here is their facebook page.

BB Revenge was the very first cream I used when I started TWS a year ago. It's a top-notch soap/cream and my all time favorite, but I quit using it because it slows or stops beard growth with decelerine. I want to shave more, not less.Biggrin

I found out later from the company that it was originally intented for men with heavy beards who wouldn't mind a little bear reduction. Unfortunately, they said they have no intention of making a version without decelerine. If they did, I might not ever buy another soap.

I have a puck of soap from Bluebeard's that was given to me by a fellow traditional shaver and it's a rebrand of MWF. Do they still have this too?

It is not available as the re-branded Dreadnought yet but it may be in the works. I do not know. There is a tangle of distributorship agreements and it is possible that this cannot be rebranded here due to someone else's exclusive distributorship deal.

I've used the Bluebeard's cream and I'm not that impressed. It's not bad, just pretty average... If anyone wants a partially used jar, shoot me a PM and I'll send it to you as a PIF.

I'm in the same boat. I'd rather it have a chemical that makes my beard grow faster. There's nothing like lopping off a heavy growth with one swoop of the straight razor.
