This is another of my favorite safety razors : the Edwin Jagger DE87 with an imitation ivory handle.

Its a 3 piece razor, really elegant and sylish,as well as the other Edwin Jagger DE's out there.

My first Edwin Jagger DE was the DE86 (black handle) and after trying how good it was and shave,I got this one.Since then,I have been trying to collect as many Edwin Jagger/Muhle razors as I can.

This razor uses the same head than the other Edwin Jagger razors (classic razors) and some of the Muhle.I do love how smooth but efective this razor shaves : a good shave with this razor gives a a BBS which last me for almost 9/10 hours, and I cant say that of many razors.

The razor weights 71 grams, which makes it kind of heavy, compare it with some other models on its price range, like the Merkur 33C.

Some people are afraid that, since this razor has a "smooth handle", could be really slippery, specially with wet hands and while shaving.Well,I must admit that I like the handles of the DE89L/DE8911 "Barley" better, with some knurling, but I never had problems while shaving with this razor,or the DE86,even when my hand were wet and I was fast shaving with it,so I cant report any issue with it.

I really like the Edwin Jagger razors for many reasons :

1.Theyre less expensive than Merkur. This razor can be found for 32 dollars, while Merkur razors are usually more expensive.

2.Theyre superbly finish.I love how they look like!

3.The open comb Muhle/Edwin Jagger head gives me the best shaves.Cant go against that myself.

If you are looking for a good razor to star,or just simply to make your safety razor collection bigger, get an Edwin Jagger razor, you wont be disappointed with it.

I have a couple more razors from Edwin Jagger to collect, but so far,Im really happy with all of them.

Great review, great pictures, great razors. I actually own a DE87 and it is my go to DE when I'm not using my Injectors.
