Hi lads,Geordie Sam here, just been reading about Acqua Di Parma Colonia, apparently it was Cary Grant's go to frag.
If it was good enough for him, well, it's good enough for me, has anybody tried it.
Geordie Sam.
ps.By the way,Grant was a Brit.

I've tried it but could not use it. Irritated my skin. But it did smell nice.

I own the 180 ml version of ADP Colonia.
It's a very musky citric fragrance with moderate longevity (4-6 hours on my skin). Smells a little dated, but still a classic.

If you prefer a bit longer longevity, get the newer ADP Colonia Assoluta, which gives me 8-10 hours longevity.
I own a 100 ml version of this and blends it with my original in 1:3 - to get better longevity.

The original is a bit better, but they are very close Smile

I thought it was Frank Sinatra's favorite. In any case it is excellent stuff.

Gentlemen, yes, Frank Sinatra's favorite was Agua Lavanda Puig. Also, Acqua di Parma Colonia was the perfect match for Cary Grant's distinct style and sophistication. All good stuff.

I'm too ugly to swing Cary or Franks frags. But I can pull off Lee's AV just fine Smile

The scent of the AdP Colonia is absolutely wonderful, but I too got a rash from both the lotion and the balm and ended up selling them. Fortunately I can still tolerate the shaving cream soap in the jar.

Frank Sinatra also used Creed Bois Du Portugal , which is another great classic.
Acqua di Parma Classica is my fav scent of all the ones I owned or have tried.

Unfortunately the ADP Classica is not made in an actual fragrance. Only in the shaving croap and AS stuff.

ADP Colonia comes very close, but still not quite close enough.....

Love ADP cologne (one of my faves) but the aftershave balm wasn't worth the price IMHO
