I have five R41 2011 razors saved up for the shavepocalypse.

Why so many? Because upon a light tap to my first R41 the head fell off, broken at the screw. Being without the now discontinued R41 2011 was too dark a thought.

I wish the R41 metal was as good as the chrome finish on it. Seems like it is pot metal.

Aren't there laws against accumulating large numbers of such dangerous items! Biggrin

Wow, five R41s! You, sir, sure love the Beast! Smile
Wouldn't it be nice to have one in atainless steel!

If it were stainless I wouldn't need five.

Seeing the screw broken within the handle was pretty disheartening.

Yes, I love the beast. It is is fierce to my beard but tender hearted to my skin.

Sounds perfectly reasonable.
I have the same number of R41s I think.
Excellent razors.

So I had better not drop it then.

Rumours Muhle is switching back to the 2011 configuration is interesting. If true, I have too many. Oh well. But, given that it's Muhle, switching back may mean yet another configuration called R41. Anyone know for sure?

I have ONE pot metal razor - the Muhle R89. I like it, but after learning that they are a cheap pot metal, I will not buy anything else that isn't constructed of the highest quality metal. I like my stainless razors, and vintage Gillettes.

When I am using my ATT's, Feather, or Gillettes, it feels GOOD!

5 is a good number for hoarding. I have 5 hydromagics and I think I am set.
I used to tap my cartridge razors, but they are made of rubber. I never felt the need to tap any of my DE/SE razors.... sorry to hear yours broke, i'd contact Muhle, they might send you a replacement, it may even be the version you like so much.

I am down to one R41 11' in rosegold but I am keeping it. A really great shaver.

I was about to get another one until a Barbasol floating head razor hit the bay a couple weeks ago. My RAD is cured for a while.
