Hello Gents,
Today I received a package which contains a Gillette G2 Plus
razor and some blades (cassettes)My Father in law complained, he could not buy/ find them anymore. A quick look with Google showed me, there are (even in Holland) still a few sites/stores, that sell this system. I saw on one blade package, that is is made in 2004. Does this have an effect on the lubrastrip?? Anyway, I found them for him, so I think it will be a nice present.

Being made in 2004 would affect the lubrastrip but, with a good lather it shouldn't matter.

You can use TRAC II or TRAC II Plus blades on that razor. The Plus has the lube strips. I doubt if Gillette still makes them but others do. I was told the lube strips don't start aging until they are exposed to water/lather.

Who knows.Huh

Hi Johnny,

Thanks for the input! I can tell my father in law he can use
the Trac types. I am happy, the lubra strips are ok.
I had an idea, maybe I bought him what we call in Holland:
"een kat in de zak' I do not know the English version, but
I doubt it is: A cat in a bag.....But you will understand I think.

Thanks for the trouble.

Regards,
Frans

If he runs low on blades just tell him to go to ebay and type in TRAC II Blades. They are everywhere.
