Palmolive Italian Menthol Cream and L' Occitane Cade Soap. IMO Palmolive Italian Menthol is better than Proraso and Cade is better than D.R. Harris Soaps and much cheaper.

Even though Martin de Candre is overhyped by some standards, I still find it underrated - it's that great IMHO Cool

I Coloniali Mango Soap - fantastic performer

Underrated creams:

I Coloniali Rhubarb CreM - the scent is a bit weird, other than that it's a 10/10

Floris 89 tube - expensive, yet underrated

The Real Shaving Company tubes - both versions are cheap, made by Creighton, and definitely underrated for how they perform

La Toja tubes - both versions are great performers and underrated

Ehh for the money, TOBS are still better....

If we are sticking with mainstream, C&E soaps are the most underrated triple-milled soaps on the market.

As for creams, TBS Macca Root Shave Cream, this is a top shelf cream that never gets enough attention.

Going to have to disagree with the Harris statement, Cade is inferior with my hard water to Harris. Then again Walters makes both look sub par and still costs less than both.

Ingram Shave Cream incredible cooling sensation much more so than Proraso , Godrej, Palmolive Italian. Pleasant scent, wonderful thick, rich, slick, lather. Also has lanolin thus providing a great after shave feel. Great price point too.

+1 on the La Toja S/C- Monster sized tube of product which is as good as their king of the hill, the one and only La Toja stick.

I don't know about underrated but the most maligned soap has to be Arko. More bashing of Arko takes place than any other product.

As far as creams

Kiss My Face
RS (real shaving company)

Both fantastic products but because they are so inexpensive they are rarely mentioned

IMHO, these two. Great scent and lather. And, you hardly ever see a post on them.

It depends on what you mean by "readily available". If you mean, available locally then it depends on where you are. Most products that are widely available through out the US have their horde of loyal supporters (Kiss My Face and Van Der Hagen spring to mind), so I wouldn't call to many of them underrated...just under reported. If you mean widely available in most online shops, then I would have to say De Vergulde Hand and Ogallala soaps, and SuperMax Ultimate and Derby creams are the most underrated. These products get consistently good reviews, but get pushed to the sidelines because they're not as flashy or high priced as their competitors.

I agree with everyone that said that L'Occitane is underrated. I would also add that Valobra Almond soft soap is underrated.

Walters from Prairie Creations Wink I would link you the site, but her page doesn't like my network.

I'm going to have to go with Crabtree and Evelyn creams. Their performance is as good as anything I've ever used, and the presentation is top notch (especially the glass jar). They are also fairly readily available.

They don't necessarily get a bad rap, but they always seem to be glossed over compared to the more exotic seeming (to us in the US) foreign brands.

I also agree with those that have said KMF, Real Shaving Co, and Body Shop. I think we should celebrate these types of products that are readily available in brick and mortar stores and perform favorably when compared to the luxury brands.
