Hi lads,Geordie Sam here,Speaking after the Battle of Waterloo,the Duke of Wellington said,
"They(the French) came at us in the same old way,and we(the British) stopped them in the same old way".
He also said of his Irish regulars, who made up about %30 of the British army,
"I don't know what they do to the enemy,but by God sir, they frighten me".
I think quotes like these are priceless.
