Wet Shaving is definitely a YMMV kind of proposition. That said, there are several items out there that are popular and/or receive great reviews that I not only do not like but that I cannot fathom other people liking. My personal list includes:
1) Cremo Cream -I generally do not like brushless creams but I like this one even less. Perhaps it is the children's Aspirin scent.
2) Arko Shave Sticks -This may come in handy if camping in Minnesota (it will keep the Skeeters away) but this scent does not belong in my shave cave.
3) Martin de Candre -Although it lathers like a champ, I find the burned rubber scent to be repulsive.
4) Williams Shave Soap -Even at $1.50 a puck, this stuff is overpriced.
What makes your list?

Two products come to mind.
Treet Black Beauties (carbon de blades) - Hyped up by many to be great I found them terrible. You get what you pay for. Dull and they
rust quickly unless you pamper them.
Cremo Cream - Couldn't figure out how to make lather. Another wasted product. Over priced to boot.

brucered Wrote:Shark Blades...not highly touted, but many rave about how good they are for the price.
to me, they SUCKED the blood out of my face
these were the blades that I started out with. I bought a sampler pack a little bit ago and a few days ago I came to the shark blades in the stack. Had a little nostalgic moment and couldn't remember why I stopped using them, when I got to ATG I remembered why, they are horrible for me ATG.

Merkur and Feather blades.
Merkurs were once infamously described as "shaving with a corrugated tin roof"
This is rediculous as Merkur's razor line is almost standard introductory shave kit.
Conversely, Fathers are extremely sharp- so much @ 50% of users wind up with terminal road rash.
The other half get @ 2 good shaves.

Also Red Personnas and Sharks. It's not that they are unfit for purpose, I just don't like them very much (they tug, pull and give me a not so close shave). And yet they are highly regarded in many forums. A severe case of YMMV!
