Hello all,

I finally had a chance to visit Model Pharmacy in the Nob Hill district of Albuquerque and I must say it was very pleasant. The man who helped me was extremely friendly and even have me his card and told me if I ever wanted anything (I live 4 hours away) he would ship it out to me! They had a wide selection of Musgo Real, Tabac, Edwin Jagger, Merkur, Spanish House, some La Toja, blades, and even an impressive line of Plisson brushes!

They also have a wide array of European fragrances and giant display bottles as well as a giant Omega boar display brush! I'll try and take pictures if I can go back this weekend.

I hope I can make another trip back before I leave town this weekend and it was a great experience! I picked up a tube of Musgo Real cream as I've always wanted some.

If you are ever in the area it is certainly worth a trip in!

Who would of thought they would have something like that in New Mexico. I wonder if there is a place like that in Santa Fe, one of my all time favorite towns.

I don't know if there is. While I was there last weekend I noticed one shop with custom Mach/Fusion shave sets in faux turquoise, but nothing else.

What a great experience. Too bad its not a little closer. four hours sounds like at least a 200 mile drive but at least they have some decent shave items.

Sounds like a great experience. We are lucky to have Merz Apothecary in Chicago -- sometimes you forget that not everyone has similar options.

Looks like a very nice place. Can one get a root beer float at the sit down counter?

The owner Jack is one of the kindest fellows I have spoken to on the phone. In their own way they are a wet shaving destination as there really is not another place in the area. Makes you think you could go to most any reasonably large city and set up shop.
