Who uses the Myrsol Emulsion as a pre-shave product as apposed to a post shave product?

Can you really tell a difference in your shave with or without the product?

Looks like you have a good selection. Which of those are your favorites? I've been interested in trying Myrsol but I don't know anything about them.

Well sir, that is not my collection. Those belong to the good Dr. over in Spain. However, I do have quite a few of those and my two favorites are the Blue and F/Extra.

They do seem to get mentioned a fair bit. I'll have check out the sample shop to see if they carry any.

Myrsol Emulsion is amazing.... I suppose now I should try it as a pre-shave, maybe tomorrow.

I used it as a pre shave yesterday and it worked quite well. Has just a touch of menthol in it for that cooling effect. Had a very nice shave with it.

One of these days I will get around to trying the Emulsion along with Myrsol's version of the Blue.

I've been using the Emulsion as an aftershave balm for several months now. I recently started using it as a pre-shave also.
Although I preface by stating that my impressions are purely subjective, I do believe it makes a difference in terms of the overall shave experience and results. I have always been skeptical of pre-shave products, but in this case the Myrsol does seem to have a pleasant effect on the skin. Most importantly, it absorbs well into the skin without leaving a greasy or oily feeling afterwards.

I did kind of notice a difference, but I used Osma shave soap, which is just weird. I need to use it with another product before I cast my vote.

I just received my 1st bottle of Myrsol and have used it as a pre-shave three times. It's far superior to Proraso, which I have been using for two years, but will never use again.

I wouldn't go that far but I will say its better than some "oils".

+1 on the Emulsion. I tried it for the first time today. At first I thought the menthol was too strong. In the end I really like the cooling effect and how smooth my skin was afterwards.

Was somebody brave enough to try to shave just with this (without soap or cream) as written on the bottle?
I was not Smile

Ravi, I have to agree re skeptical of Pre-Shave treatments...... Having said that I have been using for many year's CF pre-shave balm (water soluble).

Back to the thread Johnny, Myrsol Emulsion is a Fabulous product either as a Pre-shave or as a Post-shave balm excellent product.

I may well end up dropping CF in favour of this, continue too have excellent shaves with this.

Not me but supposedly it's inventor "shaves without soap, only with his famous Emulsion".

I hate after shave balms, but I love Myrsol Emulsion.
I use a Myrsol AS first followed by the Emusilon.
(I have most of the AS range and my favourite is the Balsamic, but currently I'm favouring the Limon).
I've never tried it as a pre shave, but I've never been a fan of these products either.
I doubt I'd ever follow the maker's routine and use it to shave with.

I ordered my first bottle yesterday from Phil. I'm looking forward to trying it. I have almost all of the splashes and each one is very good.

The Emusion (to me) smells closest to Formula C, but infinitely more subtle...

I have the 200ml size in a plastic bottle, I've been using it of and on. Couldn't read the bottle though it's in Spanish
I had no idea you could shave with it, I just thought it was an aftershave balm. Winter is cold and dry here so I thought it might be good.
Osage Rub is not so nice in winterBiggrin

This was right at the top of my to-try list, and I got some yesterday in trade.
It really is delightful. A little goes a long way, but the menthol sensation is pronounced without being too much, and the thickness is just right.

The closest comparison I can draw is the now-discontinued Kiehl's balm, which also had a good bit of menthol.
However, that was a good deal thicker, and the product that replaced it is too thin for my liking.

I'll give it a go as a pre-shave -- and I also intend to shave with it, which is actually the first indication listed on the bottle.

Now at the top of the to-try list: Speick aftershave.
