Hey Phil,

Is TFS an Italian company or a Chinese company which makes soap in Italy?

AFAIK, it is an Italian company, founded by a Chinese emigrant in 1945, in the aftermath of the II World War.

Hi Eamnuel,

You're quite right about that. I'm not sure if the year is correct as he was the first Chinese to come to Italy.

While many other Chinese immigrants made a living selling all kinds of products by going on their bikes through Italy, he started producing razorblades and later shaving soap. Actually, the barbe rosse, while improved over time, he put it in the tubs he made himself, instead of having to buy these tubs.

That is still being done right now and the tubs of the barbe rosse and barbe blu are much like these older tubs.

There really is some ancient tradition behind this brand.

Bye,

Eric
