The FS Pur-Tech simply behaved like a larger Muhle V2. It picked up lathered up the Füme quickly and easily. I had enough for two head passes, two face passes and still enough for maybe two more of each. It does generates the lather, and then some.

Becker scuttle
Somerset Simpson Polo 14 Manchurian (34/70)
Tabula Rasa Olibanum shaving cream soap
Rotbart (plastic handled)
Personna 74 (1)
Dolce & Gabbana splash aftershave

This was a great shave. The old Manchurian was luxurious, and the blade, unlike some 74s, was both very sharp and very smooth.

-- Saturday--

Prep: hot water wash with hand soap
Razor: Merkur Progress set to 4-ish
Blade: Personna Super (Lab) (3)
Brush: Omega boar knot in the Fuller clear handle
Soap: Palmolive stick mushed into a wooden bowl (sorry, Floris)
Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery G5 in Hamada glaze
Post: Thai Crystal deodorant stick and Thayers Witch Hazel with Aloe

Result: BBS on face and neck in 3.5 passes. A few cuts that were my own fault, but nothing that didn't close up by the end of the shave with help of a styptic stick. Great shave otherwise. Close and comfortable. I love the Progress with a Personna lab combo!

Decided to use the EJ cream sample I've had for a while now and was pleasantly surprised, it has a very nice, moderate cooling sensation and it's very creamy, super super slick lather...the scent I couldn't place..I got a fleeting whiff of citrus in there but the scent was predominantly menthol.
I used a synthetic, so that probably helped with the creaminess but this stuff is crazy slick and left a slick film between passes that took quite a few splashes after the shave to wash off completely..I normally do not care for creams but I might grab a tube of this in the future.
