I picked up this at a thrift store for $5:

it's not as aggressive as it looks. right at the tip it's rounded a tiny bit. the tip doesn't try to dig in.

the whole idea is to get the spine out of the way for working around the nostrils.

Nice job. I like my Robesons and I'm sure you'll like that one.
The tip may look intimidating but if you think about it , it's the same as a square point. Just the upper section is gone which does nothing anyway and offers no protection. Visually maybe if you can't judge how close you are to an ear for example, but you can feel where the tip is and that's a good a guide as any.

Excellent job on the restore and awesome tip. Be careful shaving though, with a blade like that.
