Hello Gents,

First of all, I would like to thank the people behind the Shavenook, for the chance to put my products on this beautiful forum!
A bit about me: I am Frans, I live in the Netherlands in a small village naar Gouda which is famous for the cheese.
I am 57 yo and have a regular job. I live together with Danielle. She has her own wholesale/ webshop and she is specialized in clothing for larger people.
Because she has a good relation with a German company which sells Bathrobes (XS-10XL)and that company also produces towels for Hotel groups, the idea for selling Shaving towels was born. In a few days, this will be visible on her webshop: http://www.voldaanfashion.nl/wellness products. The second item, I am working on at the moment, is a shave stand.
This will be a stainless stand, which can be used for a lot of razors because of the changeable insert.Because this insert will be made of Delrin, there is no chance to damage the razor. This stand is handmade, so it will not be cheap, but,I guarantee, it will be a top European product!

Please let me know, if you are interested in one or more of my products
Kind regards,
Frans and Danielle

Hello Brian,

Thank you for your kind words, I was trying to post some pictures, but I had a little quarrel with Imgur...
I hope, the pictures are good now!

Kind regards,

Frans

Hello Gents,
I would like to give a few more facts : The modell weighs
186 grams (184 without the insert) It is handmade by my
Father in Law, who has a Machine factory. The idea for the insert was Danielle's. (my partner in crime)There is another modell coming!
We think it is a versatile design and would like to hear your comments!

Kind regards,

Danielle and Frans

Welcome on becoming an Artisan on The Shave Nook.

Tell us more about the towels. Size, price, etc.

The razor stand looks nice. Can you give us an idea about what the stand and the inserts will cost.

Hello Johnny,
Thank you for your welcome.
The stand is a prototype, if there is enough interest, we
will take it in production. The price will depend on the numbers made, and will be somewhere between 50 and 60 Euros. If we can manufacture large amounts, the price will be lower. I want to emphasize, it will be European top quality!
The prices for the towels will be on the site: http://www.voldaanfashion.nl tonight, for embroiderie and large numbers, people can send a mail: info@voldaanfashion.nl
I hope, this will give you some answers.

Kind regards,

Frans

Hello John,

Thank you very much. We do our best! Danielle is working hard, to put the shaving towels on her site tonight!
As you can see in these pictures, I took the insert out.
It fits so precisely, when you put it in, it slowly descends
because it pushes the air out. It is nice to watch!
My Father in Law builds machines and he is a real artist with
stainless, aluminum and brass! So I give him the credits for this model!

Best regards,

Frans

Welcome Frans to The Shave Nook family of artisans. I really like the razor stand and the insert is an excellent idea especially if the base of the handle is not flat. I would be definitely interested in it as I am sure other members. The very best of luck in your new business.

Hello Slantman and Blue Line,

Thank you both Gentlemen for the kind words. The intention is,
to start with an 15mm insert. The Pearl razor in the stand on
this picture has a 12mm handle. That was, because it was used
as an example. If I get enough customers, I will also considder to widen the top to almost 2 centimeters. (20mm)which is easy to do. So it might even be useful for UFO like handles.
Best regards,
Frans

Thank you Johnus, the cheese is indeed very good.
In the small village of Stolwijk there are some award winning farmers, but no, I am not going to sell it....

Fran's,
I have an uncle that is a world class machinist and I am having one of those "WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT" moments.
I would add a DELRIN bottom plate so that the bottom of the stand doesn't scratch the counter surface.

Best of luck in your endeavor.

Hello Alan, thanks for the good wishes! We have thought about
including some kind of protection. We are working on that
one. Thanks for thinking with us! As I said in an earlier post, we are also busy with some other models.
I will come back to that later.
But, as from now, the shaving towels and prices are on the http://www.voldaanfashion.nl site. (Thanks Danielle for the hard work!) Also: dealer inquiries welcome. I would like to ask the persons who are seriously interested, to send me a mail, so I can make an inventory for the stands!

Kind regards,

Frans

Thank you very much Brian,

Just read your mail, when I got home.
Sure, we can also deliver Microfiber towels in a very good quality. The German company which makes these towels, has a
lot of big hotels as customers, so trust me, the quality
must be good! There are a few shaving towels on the site now
You can see them at: http://www.voldaanfashion.nl

Kind regards
Frans
