Ok, I just watched a few trailers for the upcoming Man of Steel movie.

Several scenes show Superman with a BEARD ! Then of course other scenes , clean shaven.

I have always wondered what kind of blade Superman would use to cut those super-whiskers. Since I was young this has always bothered me.

Dodgy

Heh, why is everyone obsessed with how Superman shaves? Gillette is even doing a movie tie-in ad campaign about it now.

I think Superman's other functions are more interesting, as described in sci-fi author Larry Niven's 1971 essay, "Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex".

I quite like how they did this and really enjoyed listening to each argument for how the Man of Steel shaves.

Now we know that he shaves.

So how does he cut his hair?

Where does he go for a hair-cut?

And how much does he tip?

Perhaps he does things like many of us do. We use a tool that was passed down to us from our grandfathers and fathers. It just would have been included in his ship that brought him to Earth.

There was an old Laurel and Hardy film, where "Ollie" got a paint brush stuck to his chin, and "Stan" proceded to shave it off with a real old fashioned wood plane, absolutely priceless.

We could guess about how Wolverine shaves, but I think that one's a little too easy Tongue
