Folks,
I am headed for N.Y.C. today and plan a shopping expedition to Pasteur Pharmacy and C.O. Bigelow. I am eager to see what is available and pick up a few things if I find something interesting there! I here it is a crazy place and very tightly packed with stuff so I am prepared! Wish me luck!

Regards,
David

Good Luck!
I've been to Pastuer's once and it was almost a religious experience. Unfortunately I didn't get to talk to the owner though, I hear he's a great guy and has a wealth of wetshaving knowledge.

You will be surprised at how much they can fit in that store. The aisles are narrow and there is lots of goodness there.

Have fun.

You will definitely find something interesting. More than one thing, probably. Wish I'd taken more advantage the one time I was in Pasteur. Have fun!

I'm still looking for an excuse to get there - I just missed a work related event that was blocks away! Angry - but someday, someday. Have fun!

I've only heard about mythical places such as these. If you actually find them and get to stroll their majestic hallways will you take some pictures to share with us who cannot make the pilgrimage?

One of the places I would truly like to visit in NYC. I had the chance to go to Merz Apothecary two years ago and needed more money.

Both their locations carry iKon razors among other things. They will probably have the new iKon slant in soon.

BTW, if you get the chance, depending on which Pasteur you visit, Cambridge Chemists is nearby and well worth a visit, too. Not as much stuff, not as crowded, but the owner is very knowledgeable, and there is some nice kit there, too.

While I've not been to Pasteur's, if you ever find yourself in Chicago you should hop over to Merz Apothecary. Very nice selection of shaving goods.

Have fun!

My wife has a spa day in Manhattan with a friend coming up. I think I need to escort her on the train and find some way to pass the time for a couple hours...

Wow that video is amazing!
I wish I had known about it before, the Lexington Ave location is like 10 minuets from where my grandmother lives across the park. I'll have to check it out next time I'm up there.

Wow, that selection is nearly unheard of inside a store that you can walk into. SWEET!

This is my go to list for NYC.

Depending on your shopping list, if any, Min NY can give the competition a run for your money and have space to move around in. They stock Thiers Issard which I have not seen in the others.

I have found some great NOS deals on T&H in Pasteur's. Got some nice pre-reformulation soaps at old low prices. It pays to look high up, very high up.

Min NY
117 Crosby Street

C O Bigelow Chemists
414 Avenue of the Americas

Pasteur Chemists
53E 34th Street

Pasteur Pharmacy
806 Lexington Ave

Cambridge Chemists
855 Lexington Ave

Clyde Chemist
926 Madison Ave

New York Shaving Company
7301 20th Avenue Brooklyn

Bergdorf Goodman
754 5th Avenue

Used to plan my NYC visits around hitting these shops. Recently had Menessentials open in town. They killed my need for a shaving fix in NYC.

Bring more funds than you think you need. If you are a serious wet shaver you will be glad you did.

I've been to C.O. Bigelow and it's fantastic! They have a really great selection of products, though admittedly much of it is Proraso, and it's about a block away from Greenwich village (which, though it's not a shaving mecca, is a fun place to kill an afternoon).

Never been to Pasteur, but hoping to visit the next time I'm in NYC.

Have a great time!
