I'm contemplating picking this up today. I really like the reviews I've been able to find that discuss how this creates a very dense lather. Can anyone here talk me out of getting it for any reason?

Of course you should get it. I learned here that it's the same as the now unavailable Acca Kappa that I love so much.

I'm actually pretty intrigued by this ingredient list. I just ordered the mint version from Connaught.

Ah, I voted no, but too late. It's good cream IMO, but not as good as some of the other shave preps you use. However, I do like its packaging, and it does shave very well.

You should give us a lather video(since you have some great ones) and review of it after you get a few shaves with it under your belt.

I like it - works wonderfully with straights.

The lather is not over the top voluminous, but it's thick and slick. I had the mint, but now have the eucalyptus. Marco has reviewed this soap as well. It's apparently made by the same folks as Fiori and Frutti.

I have the dovo mint and I like it pretty much, smells very good, nice lather, and it feels great in the face. Would recommend it without a doubt.

Thanks fellas. I'm looking forward to this arriving next week. I will be using it immediately along with a Valet AutoStrop and a new Feather SE blade.

First shave with the Fiori & Frutta (DOVO) hard cream went pretty well a couple days ago. It was a somewhat rushed shave in an unfamiliar location (first shave in the new house). I will be using it again in the morning before church for a very leisurely shave where I can really pay attention to the qualities of this soap. One thing is for certain; I want to eat this peppermint candy of a soap everytime I smell it. It's also obvious that a little goes a long way. A review with video & pictures is definitely on the horizon.

Unfortunately the water is the same. I moved only 2 miles away. In fact my last 4 moves have all been within a 3 mile radius.

Once I get all my stuff over here I'll look into making a video.

I can say that I am getting more weepers these last two shaves. I think it is more than likely due to the thinner SE blade that Feather makes. It doesn't feel as rigid as my GEM PTFE blades do. I could actually feel the blade flex while going ATG this morning. I would notice this same blade flex from DE blades regardless of shave direction. This is why I got rid of all my DEs. I'll see if the weepers disappear when using MdC. If they don't then ill shave with my OCMM & a GEM PTFE blade using the Fiori & Frutta. One way or another I'll find out what's not quite right for me.

Jeff, I have the Dovo mint, and it doesn't have menthol in it, just mint oil.
