I restored this razor recently ( and posted it) but the client wanted some sort of display for it as it's his great-grandfathers razor. He plans on giving it to his father this fathers day.
I built the case out of Mahogany, carved the insert to hold the razor and carved the "V" into the lid and finished it in gold.
Hope you enjoy it. I hope his father does as well.

That is stunning. I remember that razor and the beautiful case is just icing on top of the cake. What Father would not be proud to receive something like this.

A lot of tears and hugs will take place when this is presented.

Hi Mark

Very! nice and all-in-all a wonderful Father's Day present Clap

Is the insert made from wood, then covered in felt or similar?

Take care, Mike

Yes Mike, it is. I carved the shape of the razor into a block of wood then used flocking. It's the same thing I did for my Gold Dollars in this photo.

Hi Mark

Thank you Smile

True craftsmanship, three dimensional scribing and carving. And I like the added finger-indent (grip) to aid with easy razor removal.

Take care, Mike
