Hello all. Sorry I've been slacking but Sav has been very busy at the old salt mine and I've been working on a new music project. I've been trying to keep up and visit at least once a day. I've missed The Nook...

OK so now let me get to my point. After 4 months or so of SINGLE EDGE shaving I must say that my favorite SE razor is ALL OF THEM. It's hard for me to pick my TOP DAWG. I love my J-Bar lather catcher. Great shaves and so cool. I love the OCMM that I once thought was my nemesis. It's a true shave animal and I get great shaves from it too. I used my Eveready Shovelhead yesterday. GREAT SHAVE. The FLYING WING... AWESOME!!! Clogpruff... Superb. The Damaskeen is super smooth... Even the auto-strop is tops !!!!
Jr. Bar. Simply marvelous. I have a blade in there that is on shave #9 and still going strong. Featherweight.. GREAT.... BTW, I need a new featherweight. I gave mine to my son-in-law who was visiting last week along with a brush and a cake of soap. Said it's the best razor he has ever used, and he's getting the closest shaves ever. Another wet shave convert there...

As long as I have stainless steel blade loaded I just can NOT GET anything BUT a BBS with any of these razors... One is as good as the other. THEY ARE ALL GREAT SHAVERS.....

DON'T JUST STAND THERE, GET ON BOARD THE SINGLE EDGE bandwagon... Times a wastin'.... HAPPY SHAVES !!!

I know how you feel, i love my other razors but my 1st ever razor was a GEM Damaskeene 1912. Now my Streamline is on my top rotation and i cant live without my Streamy.

Keep sharing the SE love Sav! I'm glad that they are all working for you. I can't get such good results from that wide variety. I look forward to trying a Feather SE blade soon though to see how that does in a Valet.

Glad your having fun with the SE's Sav. Of the ones I've tried the G-bar is still my favorite and I don't use it enough, so maybe I'll have to make Sundays SE night or something like that. I never could get a decent shave with any of the Valets though. If only there were more variety of SE blades out there I might have found the magic combination.

Glad to see you're doing ok Sav.

I'll break out the GEM Jr from time to time, but I guess I didn't catch the fever like you guys did. At least not enough to pull from away from the OC and slant DE's.

It is hard to pick one, Sav. And at the current prices, it still is affordable not to have to.

Barring the Cobra this is so true. Get anyone that you find for a good price & try it. If its not for you then pass it along.

Yesterday I gave a nice cased Featherweight and some blades to the very same good friend of mine that got me into traditional wetshaving a year ago.

I really liked this shot of the Streamline from my shave today so I thought I'd share it here. Maybe it will push BrianK over the edge to finally get one.

I'd love for someone to make an open comb version of this. My oh my how great that would be!

Maybe some day.

Brian, It's in the back of my mind. The problem is that no matter how handsome it is, I'm really quite content.

At one time I had AD pretty bad, but it appears I must have had a talk with myself and there's no way my shaves can get better or more satisfying. One more razor simply won't do anything for me. RAD is gone. In fact all my ADs are gone.

Before I get another razor I want to replate the ones I have that need it.
