Hi lads, Geordie Sam here,
can I just say their are some strange "non de plumes" on these pages,I'm not going to single any out in particular, but they leave me scratching my head as to how they came about, mine for instance "Geordie Sam" is simply people from Newcastle in the uk are called "Geordies" much like "cockneys" are from London, and "Scousers" are from Liverpool, and "Sam" as it's my name, hence "Geordie Sam", so c'mon lads, "fess up" what does your "monicker" mean, and how did you come about it.?
Sam.

Mine is a bit geeky...back in the early 90's I was heavily into a collectable fantasy card game called Magic the Gathering, in one of the expansion sets there were elder dragon cards and one was named Arcades Sabboth.
I always liked the name and around 1998, started using it as my online nickname on forums and video games, although I changed the spelling around a bit and used Arcadies Sabbath..but for simplicity I eventually I dropped the Sabbath and just stuck with Arcadies.

Mine has been a nickname of mine for more than a decade now... Basically, it started because a friend on a message board noticed that I'm a 'wegian (Norwegian, that is), and that I'm a warrior (both by profession, and by the codes I live by).
In short, she started refering to me as "the 'wegian warrior", and it sort of stuck.

Heh, I originally thought your username was because you liked SE razors. Because they're sharp... and the have a spine on them that DE blades don't.

My user name is just a character I used to play in MMORPGs.

I wanted a username to be a word with my real name in it ... hence, Agravic.
Gravitas was my original choice on another forum, but it was already taken. Biggrin

Mine is based on Churchill (Churchy) LaFemme, my favorite character from the wonderful old Pogo cartoon strips and books by Walt Kelly. His name is a takeoff on the French phrase "cherchez la femme," meaning look for the woman (the one who is the cause of all one's troubles). Churchy had somewhat irrational yet understandable fears and was able to be both a dunce and wise at the same time.

Celar is shortcut from my surname as people find it to their liking and 36 thats my father birth year as I am very close with my father. He is true father figure, a great renaissance man ( Architect, Musician(plenty of instruments[Jazzman]), painter etc)..

My Mom and Dad thought my name was good enough for me so I figured it was good enough for this forum.

Over on the big blue forum and on ebay I use the name johnnypipe. Johnny being my name and the fact that I've smoked a pipe for almost 50 years.
