Mark has tweeted that he has one available. Giving it consideration. How would this brush perform compared to a chubby 2 in Manchurian? Thanks.

It should have nice density with softer tips than the manchurian. I would suspect slightly less backbone as well... Maybe someone who owns both could confirm.

I can tell you IMHO that the best badger brush I ever used was a Chubby 2 with 2-band badger. That was one brush Andrew almost did not get back.

I've never used the Manchurian. Maybe Ben will jump in, he has had experience with both.

My advice is grab it before it goes!

The most dominate difference IMO is that although possessing soft tips, Manchurian delivers some resistance against the face due to the strength of the individual hairs rather than as a result of density. Therefore the 2 band will most likely feel marginally denser, possess an overall softer feel, without any scritch and a somewhat more malleable knot.

In short, a little scritch versus none at all.

And here it is...

You know that you want it...... It is a one-off Chubby 3 two (2) band SilverTip. Bonus in "Disco Haze"

The Chubby 3 2 Band is a fantastic brush with wonderful soft tips but with plenty of backbone to lathering up anything. I recently received this one from Mark @ Simpsons and is one that I use quite often. Brilliant brush....If I didn't own the one pictured already I'd be all over the Disco Haze....love those colors!

Having waited sufficient time to allow another member to jump on this fine brush it is now off the market. Couldn't appear too eager. That last photo is gorgeous, pushed me over the edge. Sweet bloom. I will post some photos on arrival. And to think a member thought chubbies were ugly. Thank you all.

Ben is killing me with his collection, but he is saving me from the wife. On top of his latest I missed the postman trying to deliver the Disco Haze by six minutes! Off to the post office later today. Congratulations on another fine score Ben.

Yes, I'm yet to acquire one with the new sticker, but I do have a couple of the new pretty red boxes! Biggrin

I have a Rover in faux horn on the way, but that will arrive naked (or sans sticker). Blush
