Darkness is the absence of light.

I don't think it has any speed, but appears as quickly as light leaves.

Unfortunately, I don't know if it is correct.

It makes sense to me though.

How about this, the speed of darkness is 0. That's because darkness does not travel, it simply exists (the absence of light).

Sam, every self respecting high school science teacher who reads this thread must be in shock. I, on the other hand, think the back and forth here is laugh out loud funny. Again, thanks for the grins. Biggrin

The speed of dark was quite an interesting topic where I used to work (JPL) Jet Propulsion Laboratories in Pasadena and Aerojet in Irwindale...We postulated that the speed of Dark was actually 3 times the speed of Light as darkness is created by absorption of light hence it must be faster...I'm like Freddy, tho...I don't really care what the answer is, but I'm enjoying the witty and rhetorical banter!

***EDIT*** I found a Google entry that reads: "The Speed of Dark is a measurement of Mass as Dark Matter is much more dense than light matter", so there you have it! The Speed of Dark is Heavy, man! Biggrin
