Hiya,

I realised that I actually don't have any classic Italian soaps in my rotation. Among the differing reviews of Cella, Valobra and Vitos, whilst browsing the web looking at some almond scented soaps to try next, I stumbled across this soap on the Barbiere di Figaro website.

It appealed to me in an intriguing way, with not much in terms of info and reviews available online other than the actual product description "TFS shaving soap in special limited edition hard shaving soap 125 grams. This shaving soap has no added fragrance and is specifically for sensitive skin with the exclusive scent of bitter almond".

Hence, after a brief moment of reflection as to whether to get it or the Barbiere di Figaro Raffinato, I decided to go for the TFS LE Pelli Sensibili Dure and placed an order. I also added the TFS Forever (Mandorla) Aftershave Balm to the order.

I was wondering if anyone else on here had tried it and what your views were. I'll be sure to provide my take on it once I receive the soap.

Kind regards,

Ash

These were only announced a few days ago, so you may be one of the first here to try it. Let us know your impressions once you receive it. But if it's anything like the other TFS soaps, it's probably pretty darn good.

I agree with John. If TFS makes it, then I would expect it to be a great soap. I actually missed the announcement of these products as this post is the first I've even heard of them. Where did you order them from, BDF?

I also have one on order!
Expectations are pretty high, as most TFS are good soaps indeed.

Ash, you used Google Translate didn't you? Biggrin The title is actually TFS Aftershave Balm Almond. Mandorla is Italian for Almond, which also explains the scent of the balm, and why I couldn't find it as I didn't use translate.

There is a button on the website to switch to English and another for currency. I found shipping to the USA to be very high. If its really good hopefully someone may carry in the US.

I think Phil 'Bullgoose' has easy access to these soaps - maybe if there's interest he can manage to import some?

Maybe my English is not very good but I still found the 'button' not to be very good, hence my comment "the BdF website's English version is pretty rubbish".

Kind regards,

Ash

The Limited editions came in last Friday, so we have shipped the first orders on Friday and some more today.

We started a PIF for the 150 ml jars for TSN, so if you're interested you could give it a try.

We (I...) am working to get better translations, which hasn't been priority after changing the software for the shop, sorry.

Have a nice week!

Eric

Hi Eric,

Just got email from you stating my order has been dispatched! Biggrin From what I've read so far, I can't wait to give it a try.

With regards to the website's English version, I wouldn't worry too much as Google Translate does a good enough job - did not stop me from placing an order now, did it? Wink

Kind regards,

Ash
