Well... generally, a disrespect for any (or several) of our rules. Cool

A "serious" violation of the rules and spamming.

No one is banned for no good reason and in most cases warnings are issued first.

The one thing that will get someone banned immediately is spamming.

The one thing we won't do is discuss why someone was banned in an open forum.

Emanuel and Johnny have covered all the bases. However, I should like to add that spamming, if left unchecked, can all but destroy a site. Believe me, I have had first hand experience with this and it's not funny. It is possible that if you see a cluster of members being banned in a short period of time there is a good chance that quite a few we're doing nothing but sending spam. While our tech administrator andrewjs18 (Andrew) does an amazing job at keeping this problem to a minimum it is, unfortunately, an ongoing problem.

Even though we don't discuss it, I can't help but wonder why Mr. (Not so) Wonderful got pushed out Biggrin

Ohh....well......let's keep it at that.....but I'm still curious Blush

I never got the key into 'Shave My Face', got the key to B&B, but had to ask them to politely delete my account.

Shaving forums are good fun, and I'm still addicted, but not like I was the first year, where I practically lived on these forums.....

Still find it amusing 'my' TOFLAC-U thread on B&B now have more than 1000 posts and is ongoing strongly.....

Two things will get you banned, no questions asked. Post haste, right now.

Spamming and soliciting.

In my tenure here so far I've observed the following :

- the rules as posted are simple and fair
- the administrators and moderators are simple and fair ... Tongue

All kidding aside, if someone is banned from this forum ... it's for the benefit of the membership as a whole ... I trust the decision-making of the administrators/moderators and don't need to know the details.

Spam is no joke, it used to cripple the RunnersWorld website on a regular basis, particularly on weekends.

I like the strike thru on the BANNED MEMBERS names now.

It's a good indicator so you know whether to help or add to a thread or quote them.

Good work TSN....it's a great feature.

aside from spammers, we've banned very few people.

unless someone has made a post, I don't think you'll notice any of the banned users.

Top notch crew here... That's why this is my home site. I rarely even go to the other site unless I'm looking for something to buy. No tudes here at all. And when they do rare their ugly heads our mods toss em.... I've seen a few get the boot that I have a pretty good idea why. But it's not at all for me to know.... GREAT JOB GENTLEMEN !!!

Yep .. I have to say that I am very happy with this site.

And while I may not say it ... I do think that "The Mods" do a great job.

And I too have seen a few get the boot and I too have a pretty good idea why and it is not for me to know either.

So Thanks to all "The Mods".

I'm glad this was brought up. I thought to ask the same question, but just figured oh well. I had noticed a lot of members with lines through their names, who I then figured out were banned. Not sure what spamming is, but I will do all I can to avoid it as this is by far the best shaving forum in my opinion.
