Hey Guys,

I wanted to get some information as to what you guys keep your soaps in? I want to buy a chunk of the 1KG brick of Cella and don't know what I should keep it in. Would some kind of tupperware bowl work or would it be OK in a ceramic dish?

I normally keep my soaps in tupperware, but my understanding is that Cella doesn't have any preservatives so I want to make sure I treat it right.

Thanks!

Tupperware or one of those Glad containers with the screw on lid would work fine. Just need to keep it sealed if possible.

I've been using these for the past year with no problem

I previously posted elsewhere about the true seal set, but the deal is no longer valid, and I'm awaiting delivery for my order

I thought about mentioning those Kooze but some folks don't like glass in the bathroom. Personally, I prefer glass or ceramic.

Ah, okay thanks guys. I dont like the idea of using glassware to hold my soaps as I'm typically clumsy in the mornings.

I'll look for a plastic screw top lid vessel. Since there are no preservatives in Cella, will I have to let moisture dry off before closing it up or as soon as I'm done can I close the container?

I would let it dry for at least an hour.

* You could always try to pick up one of the original Cella containers on the BST on this or another forum as that might be a great way to store it and remember what it is. Good luck.Biggrin

I have Cella (and a bunch of other soaps and croaps) in twist up sticks. When I want to go traditional and don't have or want to buy an extra wood bowl, I use colored plastic containers from Specialty Bottle. They have tons of sizes and shapes as well as a few colors. Great stuff.

I've bought some very nice and old shaving bowls from Ebay that I use for soaps and creams. They give your shaving "tools" a vintage and professional look. Nice shaving bowls don't show up too often, but when they do some are beautiful, artistic and add a flare to your shaving routine.

I bought some old "Old Spice" mugs that I use and I also bought some of the round colored plastic cosmetic containers for some of my soaps.

I use the 4oz Ramekins that come with lids. You can find them at Target or Walmart. Think they are 5 bucks for a couple of them.

I use these for just about everything from samples to pucks. They work great and the plastic lid keeps the soap from drying out.

Not where I get them, but what I use.

I use the 6, 8, and 12 ounce Lockups from hobby lobby.

I like them because I can see how much/what is in them plus you can lock the base and lid for the next container together.

Good suggestions given, just make sure it's something you can seal. Cella will go bad fairly quickly if not properly sealed btw. uses.

I have the most perfect tupperware-like container for any kind of soap. It is a Lock and Lock brand and it seals and is the perfect width and depth for a brush (capactiy is 300ml/10oz) Popular in the UK. They aren't expensive but they can be hard to find. I just received a batch that ended up being shipped from South Korea. You can google the model number for a vendor: HPL932
