Oh My.

It was fine day in Iowa. The postman brought four packages.
An early gel tip Heritage 2XL (only 5 days from France)
A later Heritage 2XL in jade

and, on loan, a Rooney Finest.

Wow. Tomorrow will be tough. Which to choose. What a dilemma to have, huh?

Oh yeah, and a decant of Sycomore and a Weber long Classic handle.

Very nice. We had a storm in Wausau last night and all it rained was 2 inches of water. Not a brush to be found.

I can't take it. I just can't take it anymore. I can't find a one to be had anywhere and............I live in green jealousy.

I give much needed supplies to our schools, I help animals and old ladies cross the street, I donate to our library and to our local Vietnam Veterans chapter and goodwill.I try to lead a good life and keep a pure heart and soul. I say a prayer for world peace every night but the good lord never chooses me for even one brush find like that.....
they're beauts Max, beauts.

Lucky enough to own both those 2XL's as well. You can beat the early gel tips. My jade is a bulb which is a nice contrast to the gel tip fan.

This reminds me a little of the guy who was lamenting the fact that he never won the lottery. He looked up and beseeched the Almighty to please arrange it so he would win. He pleaded, begged, and got down on his knees and prayed.

Finally, a deep voice boomed from the heavens...
"At least help me a little and buy a damn ticket!"

@Mouser.

Much of my satisfaction in herding badgers comes from the hunt.Biggrin

The hunt for these was, indeed, satisfying.

I hunt those things with the same fanaticism I used to run and play golf with. I'm much, much less successful at it though. But to know that the mythical beasts are still out there to be took is enough for me to put my face to the trail again. And drink to Max the Hunter!

The brush on the right in the first picture is a beautiful looking brush, as well as the others. Which one is it, the green colored looking one and is it still in production?

'tis a Rooney 2XL in jade. And to my knowledge, the jade was a limited run that is out of production. They're out there, but not at any reseller.

The hair in the jade 2XL was sold as Heritage. It IS NOT the same hair as the earlier non-jade brushes. The early Heritage brushes had the hooked tips that result in the "gel tips" sensation. The hair in the jade brushes, though quite satisfying, is not the same.

The ivory 2XL.

It is, indeed, the gel tip hair. And it is a brush that will have place in my cabinet for a long, long time.

I deem the hunt to have been a grand success!
