I purchased this from one of our members back in December of 2012, as 50th birthday present to myself. I believe it was NOS when I got it.

The Rooney Heritage "Stubby" 2XL is lathe turned by hand. It is filled with the two-band grade of 100% "Super" Silvertip Badger that is unique to the Heritage range of brushes, aka Gel Tip.

I don't believe they are available for sale any longer unless you find one pre-owned.

It is advertised as having overall height is 95mm, loft is 50mm and diameter is 28 mm (though mine measures closer to 29mm). The fan shape is a face latherer's dream. By far the most densely packed brush that has come through my hands. If you are reading this, you know the details.

Sadly, it doesn't get enough use to warrant keeping. It's a cabinet queen for me. I strongly prefer boar. I've used it about a dozen times, though I have photographed it far more often.

I am not looking to sell it. My focus, of late, is on straight razors and I am looking for a trade of equal value. I prefer a utilitarian look over the ornate. Larger blades to small. Long monkey tails, smiles and sway backs. French or Spanish tip. I am open to suggestions. Or, I would be interested in a Lewis, Brown or Sprecher custom. Something in giraffe bone would make my head spin. I would consider adding funds if needed.

For frame of reference, the last two of these I had seen sell, were above $200.

Both the brush and it's box are perfect in every way. All lettering is intact. No scratches, dents or dings on either the box or brush.

More pictures here...

None of the razors pictured are included.
