I had read several years ago that Dorco makes an Artist Club (Feather Pro/Kai Captain Mild) type blade but can't seem to hunt them down. I just sent DorcoUSA an inquiry email about these blades and will let everyone know what their response is.

Absolutely. I read about some members of another forum using them in their Cobra razors and liked them. This was several years ago so we will wait and see what Dorco has to say about them. Hopefully positive info.

Jerry

From what I've read on the forums the Dorco Barber Blades which fit the Feather AC's and types and Cobra are only sold in Korea and not available in the U.S.

The only outlet for them I've seen is an ebay seller , purosdave. As of yesterday he had one 20 set available but he told me he had 10 more coming from Korea, so he won't run out anytime soon he said.

They seem to me very close to the Kai Captain mild and much smoother than the Feather Pro. Sharper than the Feather Pro Guard. I'd think for Cobra users with a normal to light beard they'd work very well.

Thank you I will look up this vendor and try to buy some.

Just bought the last pack of Dorco Barber blades from this vendor. Under $16 with shipping within the US. Not bad at all. Hopefully they will be a good sharp blade and work well.
Thank you again HanzoBiggrin

The guy you're trying to think of is Andy Guiterrez, who was a grad student in Korea, but is back in New York. The Dorco blades are cheap. He may still have some left. I think he kept his contact in Korea he gets blades and CJB handles from.

Here's the link to a Hobbyist thread on badgerandblade:

http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread....rco+blades

His handle on B&B is Casus4844.

Yep that's him, thanks lindyhop66. Might be interesting for some people in need of some good blades for a very good price (I'm set for the next 30 years).

If he does not have them any more here is the link to buy them in Korea, http://item2.gmarket.co.kr/English/detai...1%E2%B3%AF

In the pull down menu the first choice is the CJB razor for $11 and the second choice is CJB razor blades for about $5.50. There is no picture but I think they are the Dorco blades. The third choice is the Samsung razor which is the razor with the black tab on top. The fourth choice is Samsung razor blades, really the feather pros for about $6.50.
Unfortunately they shipping is expensive so buying from Cassus on B&B will cheaper.

I just did a one pass shave with a Dorco barber blade which I received today. For what its worth the shave was extremely smooth without irritation. If I can get 10 shaves out of one blade I will be very happy.

I just ordered 2 packs of the Dorco blades. Are you still finding them to be worthwhile?
