Lanolin might be causing me to break out with acne so I'm looking for soaps without it. I prefer soaps over cream and use/love DR Harris. Can you guys suggest your favorites that don't contain lanolin?

Shea butter is a good alternative if you want something good for your skin without lanolin. Pre De Provence, Provence Sante, and RazoRock Mughetto di Bologna are all good shea butter heavy soaps without lanolin (avoid Institut Karite, as it does have lanolin). If you're not into shea butter, then you could try Vitos Extra Super, a great tallow based Italian soft soap with added glycerin.

Harris is my favorite. I also enjoy Haslinger. Pure lanolin is easy to get if you want to rule it out.

JabonMan. Superb soaps available both with and without lanolin. I am a staunch Harris fan but Manuel's soaps are in a different league altogether.

So you would rate JabonMan as far better than Harris? Where can I find it online?

Thanks

How would you compare Vitos to Cella? I haven't tried either but interested in getting a nice almond soap.

They are superb soaps, with some unique scents. I'd say they or on the same level as Harris, easier to lather. I've read in many of David's posts that he likes them a lot more than Harris. You can't find them online, as he doesn't have a website at the moment. I've sent you a pm with his email.

Sorry for late replying but I'm off for the week and only using a mobile.
I rate Harris soaps highly and before I was introduced to Manuel's soaps, they were my my number one. It's hard to describe but once you've tried a JabonMan soap, you'll understand completely. Just send him an email and Manuel will send you a list of what's available.

Vitos Extra Super is much better than Cella IMO. So is 3P (Connaught) and it's quite inexpensive when last I bought a block.

Klar Kabinett is rose scented and non-lanolin if you like rose. It's very good, but discontinued so if you want some get it now. The twin blocks are a lot of soap for not much $.

Thanks for the info Mick. Are JabonMan soaps hard or are they soft like Italian soaps?

Somewhere in between. Not hard, triple-milled but not as pliable as the Italian softs.
