Im intrigued with the Titan series and am looking for opinions on the three types. Am I essentially looking at a Feather AS-D1, A Weber, and an Ikon SB type as far as aggressiveness is concerned?

Thanks,

joe

Of those mentioned in order of most aggressive to least.

iKon SB - most aggressive
Weber
Feather - least aggressive

The ATT R plate will be similar to the iKon, although the iKon is less harsh.

The ATT M plate will be slightly more aggressive than the Weber. Both are outstanding razors.

ATT makes nothing as mild as the Feather.

The ATT H plate is more aggressive than all of the above.

I agree with Tom that the Titan H is the most aggressive out of the group he mentions. The Titan H gives great shaves without irritation
but extra care must be taken when using it.

Concur with above. The M plate is a slight bit more aggressive than a Weber, the R plate is fairly aggressive (but manageable) with the right blade.

I can't imagine why anyone would need or want the H plate. I thoroughly enjoy using both the M and R plates.

The H plate gives one of the best shaves of any DE razor. As good as the R41 2011' but smoother.

Your mileage will certainly vary on the H plate. I'm not a fan.

The Titan is a superb razor, but I ended up choosing the Weber polished as my Razor of Choice. I just like the way that it shaves (and sounds) better that the others listed, which are all fine instruments, not to mention beautiful works of art! I even tried the iKON base plate with the Feather top, but did not care for the shave.

I also had a Pils which was nice to behold and shave with, but not spectacular.

I tried M & H plates and found them to be rough shavers.

Quite a shame as they are beautifully made and the owner's service is second to none.

Where would the Tradere SB fall in the comparison?

I would say it feels less aggressive and smoother than the Titan.

Have a read of Samjax's thread, stainless steel shoot out. It's very informative.

Great analysis. I think I may have to buy the M1.

I like the ATT H plate very much. It's the closest match to the R41 2013 I have found, and it works exceptionally well for me.

I have a Weber and a Tradere SB and wanted a touch more aggression so I decided to take a chance and I pulled the trigger on the M1 this morning. Thanks to all for your input

For me the Titan r1 plate seems more aggressive than the Feather and Ikon, i have never tried the Weber.
