I've done it. Moved some slush funds around and pulled the trigger on a Rooney Heritage Stubby in Two Band Super Silvertip. I'm having delivered to my brother's place and I'll casually work it into my rotation. When my wife notices it I'll say something like,"Tom (my brother ) found it at a yard sale". I know it's not any of the "legendary" hairs but it'll be my top shelf brush. For a little while at least...other plans may gel

That's a good plan. Is your brother married? A sister n law could throw a wrench in it. Good luck and enjoy the brush!

Nice purchase. Don't worry about it not being of legendary hair. Current hair is also very nice.

Where did you see this brush? Is this size 3 (large) listed on Vintage Blade? Let us know what you think of it.

I do believe this brush pictured is the Stubby 3 (large) being offered at Vintage Blades. The Heritage 2-band knot on these brushes is very nice ... Mouser, this is definitely a brush worthy of 'top-shelf' status! Enjoy! Smile

Yep, Vintage Blades. I was originally attracted to the tortoise shell one but I knew that would be way too large for my tastes. And I was waiting on something else but I guess that fell thru so I went for this one. This one is at the limit as it is. I'll certainly let you know what I think of it.

The best way to hide a brush from the misses is to have all ivory colored handles. They just blend right in. I always have 8 brushes hanging and if I pull one out of the drawer that has a different colored handle, I have to explain where it came from.

I've learned long ago that what women object to is the money spent so when they say "what's that?" you say "oh, just some 4 dollar brush I got at the drug store/yard sale/dolla sto"

If only I could have found it in a medium and/or in the tortoise shell I would have popped that cap long ago.

Is there anything on the backside of the brush Jamie?

You are too kind my good sir.
Tracking says it's here Thursday. UPS is always early evening. I think I'll be doing some work early Thursday evening, yard.....front yard......perhaps wandering further up the street to intercept,.... yard.

Mouser, I know the feeling ... if I'm anticipating a delivery, it's difficult for me to concentrate until the UPS/FedEx/USPS vehicle arrives ... Biggrin
The Stubby 3 is a great brush ... I'm confident you will be pleased with the purchase. Please share photos post-bloom! Smile

Fortunately for me I have a Wife who likes to spend money more than I do. She likes things that are Mercedes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermes, Tiffany's, etc.

Even when she forgets herself and asks "What did you buy from so and so" I always, always, always have a response available that will shut her down in 3 or 4 seconds.

Love Her to death though, Karen is "Fun".

My Rooney Heritage Stubby 1XL Two Band has wonderfully soft tips and is my most densely packed knot by far. Enjoy!

It's here! And my leaves early for Bradenton in the morning so I'm going to christen it with either MWF or Pre de Provence or Trumpers Rose cream in the morn! A soap would probably be the best choice...... and I'm drawing it out too!

Let us know your thoughts and impressions after the first use. I believe you will glad to have it in the rotation. Amazing softness in the Heritage brushes.
