Hi lads,Geordie Sam here,69 years ago today (20th July 1944) Claus Von Stauffenberg was the leading light in a failed attempt to kill Hitler,he was a decent man who tried to right a terrible wrong, politically he was as far removed from Hitler as was possible to be,if only that BLOODY attache case hadn't been moved.
God laughs when men make plans.

Sam.

On this day in 1969 we first stepped on the moon (Armstrong and Aldren).

Sorry Sam, just a more pleasant thought.

No, gentlemen, you are both correct and both need to be remembered. I do not expect world peace or understanding in what remains of my life but it will come. There are simply too many decent people in the world at any one time for it not to happen. Thank you both for your reminding us how much we can learn from history.

If you forget the past you cannot appreciate the present...we are here now because others came before. Our job is to prepare others to preserve, protect and pave the way for the young to replace us...which they will..in time...

Sam.

So my name brother did something good, or at least tried to do the right thing Smile
I always try to do the right thing, but mind and reality don't always go hand in hand Blush
