The EverReady Streamline quickly became one of my favorite razors from the first time I held it in my hands & had my first shave with it. For me this razor comes close to perfection; only an open comb would make it better. So, in short, this razor is BOSS & I hope to see more people sharing pictures of the sexiest SE out there.

Please share your Streamline & Jewel acquisitions as well as any lovely pictures that you have of it. Perhaps we can get a certain AS maker to take the plunge and pick one up.

To be quite honest the rarity is what makes them the most special. There are other things that make it nicer than most as well, but if they were much more common then they certainly would not be going for the price they command currently on the auction sites.

To give a bit of perspective for you I use SEs exclusively. My top three are the Streamline, OCMM, and Cobra. Out of these 3 I would say the Streamline is #3 with the Cobra being #1.

The Streamline is like a better designed 1912. There is more weight to it and the head is designed so that you don't have to worry about those pesky little blade stops wearing down or breaking off. There is also really good venting to allow lather to move out of the razor head and also allows for easy rinsing. The 1912 razors were never efficient enough for me, while the Streamline is. I think this is mainly due to the heft of the razor and possibly the guard bar.

The Streamline handle is pretty basic but it feels great in hand and IMO just looks good. The balance is much better for me than any of the other 1912s too. I really think that if there was an open comb version of this razor that I would like it better than both the OCMM and the Cobra. I doubt that it would shave better than the Cobra, but it would just feel better in hand. The blades for the Cobra are just that much better than any blade I know of that would go in the Streamline.

This could be one of the best endorsements for this razor that I can think of. I know your collection is phenomenal and for you to return to this razor more often than not is pretty high praise.

I can't help but stop in here and drool! I'd love to have a Streamline, but I can't justify the cost at this time. I keep looking for a deal...

I have had a Gem Micromatic Clog pruf OC razor and never got too excited about it. However just picked up a SB almost new for $20.00 and it is much smoother and looks very much (head wise) like the Streamline. Is it?????...sure shaves smoother and better..really very nice....maybe this is an alternative to the Streamline....any experts out there please feel free to comment.

Harvey, most people compare the Streamline to the 1912s. Very similar head but a smoother & overall better shaver IMHO. I think mainly its heft smooths out the shave & the razor itself is built like a tank. They will easily outlast all of us.

I honestly prefer my OCMM slightly over the Streamline, mainly because of the open comb vs the guard bar. The guard bar is also why I didn't like the Clog Pruf.

Interesting ...thank you...probably people who prefer SB over OC prefer it whether or not it is SE or DE....as we all know after spending our money testing and retesting....we like what we like for our very own reasons.....and that is what this "hobby" is all about....Smile

That's my problem too! I just can't justify it (not like I need too, except to myself), but I can't deny it's fantastic looks and execution.

Please share some pictures of yours here too.

What do you like so much about the Streamline & how we're you able to acquire one?
