Hi lads,Geordie Sam here, Yesterday there were tens of thousands of births around the World, many of whom will struggle throughout their entire wretched lives to find suitable employment, feed and clothe themselves and to live happy and contented lives.

But there was one who has been born into nothing but utter privilage, who will go through his whole life having everything done for him,(they don't even know how to open a car door) never having to worry about where the next 10 course meal comes from.

Please don't think EVERYONE here in the uk loves the "royal family" I would happily get shot of the whole bloody lot of them tomorrow.(Bloodless coup,of course.)

I'm a REPUBLICAN, NOT I hasten to add an American Republican, but a British one, meaning I don't want a "royal family" ruling over me,and there are plenty of us about.

It is absolutely sickening to hear the news bulletins over here at the moment,it's nothing but non-news about the "royal birth". Sycophantic, fawning newsreaders with broad smiles painted across their idiotic faces, reading endless inane drivel.
Honestly, who gives a F**K.
Thank you for reading this.
Sam.

As I commented during lunch today; "Meanwhile people are being killed in Syria...".

The problem with the 24 hour news is that they have to fill... well... 24 hours a day.

I kind of wondered myself, Sam. Way overboard on the coverage of this.

I'm with you Sam. The world would be a much better place if people stopped thinking they were born entitled to something instead of earning it themselves.

We have a similar situation over here, except it's it's in hollywood. One of the self absorbed idiots in Hollywood recently gave birth (was it a Kardashian?) and I had the same reaction.

Personally, I'd privatise the Royal Family. Build a massive hotel in Vegas, call it the 'House of Windsor' hotel (so much snappier and 'English' sounding than The Saxe Coburg and Gotha hotel) and let them live there.

The press coverage so far has been ridiculous.

I will be the lone decenter. I love it. I'm tired of all the bad news, murder trials, pundents, etc.

Blame the news, not the baby.

I'm not sure I understand, Sam. Tell us how you REALLY feel.

Actually I might have to agree. We have our nobility as well, in a place called Hollywood.

Some people love the Royals.

Even those who have left the UK and live elsewhere will watch The Queen's Jubilees and the Weddings.

My Mother in Law is a Scot, her next door neighbor is a Scot, and a neighbor across the street is a Brit.

And they all watch the celebrations even though they have been on the other side of the pond for more than 50 years.

Ugh..I agree, all of my RSS feeds are full of this junk, even my gaming and tech feeds, wth does a royal baby have to do with tech news?! Angry
I suppose I could create a pipe to filter them but it's not worth the bother, it will hopefully be over with in a week or so.

This topic will be of much greater interest to me in about 15 years time. Then I'd welcome a hearty discussion in regards to Royalty shaving...

Gentlemen, no matter what your feelings, there are some here who might be happy about it and do not think it is cr_p, to use Claus's term. Frankly, this is getting a bit too political so let's just drop it because it is what it is.

Sam, you just have this way about you to stir the pot. Personally I enjoy enjoy it.

Don't let these goblins discourage you. Cheers

Freddy, Don't be a scrooge.

Bob,thanks for that,I genuinely don't go out to cause a stir, but I do like to try and make a point if I think it merits it,sometimes I get it wrong and for that I always aplologise, but I will ALWAYS cut Freddy a bit of slack, he's a "canny lad" as you are yourself. (that's Geordie speak for "good fellow".)
