So I have been wondering with Mike moving to MI if he would change his labels. Today I browsed to his website to see what orders he was working on. He still has not got to mine as it was placed after 7/7, which is no big deal. However, I noticed his site now says handmade in Ann Arbor, MI. So my question is, has anyone received a tin since the move to see if his label says handmade in Ann Arbor, MI? These old tins could become in high demand if they rather them say NYSmile

Also, this last order I ordered the bars instead of the tins. I think they would provide an easier way to lather for me by just holding in the hand and loading the brush. Does anyone else use the bars? I'm just hoping that over time if I leave them sitting out they don't lose their scent.

I had no idea he moved. Did he take a job in Ann Arbor? As a Michigan resident I hope he does change the labels to Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor is a neat city and I think a shop downtown would go well for Mike.

i have used Mike's soap bars, exclusively, as i find them more economical and larger. They are fantastic and i just mash them into a Pyrex 1 cup container! They work wonderfully and the scents seem to last, forever, especially the Lemongrass/Eucalyptus! Biggrin

He's up to 7/11 orders! Mine was placed on 7/16 (two bars: Orange, Cedarwood & Black Pepper and Bay Rum).

I think I will try cutting the bar and grating it into a shave stick. I have been using this Arko stick like mad here lately and for some reason I just like the stick, although I do not have the Arko in a container so it's all a mess. That reminds me, I need to place an order for the twist up container from somewhere.

This is good to hear. I ordered mine on 7/18 (I think), Lemongrass & Eucalyptus and Lime.

West Coast Shaving and Mama Bear has them. I just got two from WCS and put a Speick and an Arko in them.

Mikes is soft enough that you dont have to grate it, you can just mold it like clay into the container. works great without the grate Biggrin
