Oh marvelous Speick.

How lovely thy lather, a cacophony of luxury upon my stubbled cheeks.

Wafts of spice and scent of dancing fairies.

Why oh why doth your maker not nestle you in a tub or a bowl?

Oh the humanity.

This post reminds me I need to finally crack open my Speick stick I ordered a few months ago. It's been in the back of the cabinet collecting dust while I use the Arko.

Question for you Johnny, How many sticks do you usually grate into the bowl at one time. If my judgement of the photo is semi-accurate then I am guessing two but I can't really tell.

I think I have two sticks but I sure like keeping at least one in stick form for traveling. I am thinking that one stick in a bowl just won't seem like quite enough so I might need to order a third stick if I want to have descent bowl and a spare stick? Your thoughts?

Your assumption is correct. I grate two sticks at a time. I always order 3 sticks at a time so I can also have a backup for travel. When grated and pressed into a small bowl the soap last for a very long time. It does not take much to build a nice rich lather.

I use the stick as a pre-shave soap, it's simply a great product. The aftershave splash is excellent and in my regular rotation.

Rumours are around here, that Speick will introduce a shaving soap in a tub next year. 150 gram, completing their new "active" series.

Speick and MWF are the 'givens' in any shaving equation, straight A performers.
