Hello, everyone. i hope you are all well.
Two friends and i went camping this past weekend for two days and one night at one of the many beautiful locations we have in British Columbia. It is called Wedgemount Lake, a glacier-fed lake, here: http://www.vancouvertrails.com/trails/wedgemount-lake/
i just wanted to share some pics of the trip as i had mentioned to a few friends that i would. Therefore, here they are. i am the clean-shaven lad!Biggrin
The hike was the most excruciating hike i have been on. Four hours to ascend with a grade of 30-60 degrees with 30-40lbs of weight on the back! The descent was even more gruesome. Nonetheless, it was wonderful at the top.
By the way, no, my friend doesn't want to venture into traditional wet shaving. i have tried to entice him many times!Biggrin

Fantastic pictures Celestino, it looks like it was a great time... And a heck of a workout... By the looks of you, I am sure you are "in shape" enough to tackle anything.

Nice! It reminds me of a day trip we took to Lake Louise when we were staying in Banff. Really made me wanna move up there. Crazy ice climbers were so high up on the blue ice they looked like specs of dust. Scared me just watching them.

This was high enough for me! Biggrin

I'm not so sure how long that would last. I bought a down coat for the trip to Banff (ski town). And we drove (if I remember correctly) about 2 hours up to get to lake Louise. All my extremities were frozen and hurt like hell. Only thing warm was inside my new coat.

I was sweating digging my jeep out in the blizzard we had in 2010 or 09 and had to take it off. Wore it 1.5 times in my life. Only at about 9,000 feet was it comfortable.

Never did see any brass monkeys in Canada!

I'm not doing to bad for 54 Celestino, that's my Wife struggling behind I'm the one taking the photo on the final accent, she made it in the end, but the Dog and I made the summit first.

Jamie.

* Hrvoje, i still have almost 3 1/2 years to get to 50, but the shea butter surely seems to be helping along with my simple diet and the Yerba Mate!Biggrin

* Jamie, i knew it wasn't you gasping for breath and you surely must be doing something right to be so youthful! i still think it is the shaves with those Japanese razors and the fresh Welsh air! i also presume you laugh a great deal!Biggrin

* Freddy, the SkyTrain only goes to the downtown and as far as Surrey which is to the south. You would have to hitchhike or rent a car if you wanted to go to Westmount Lake. i could drive you and we could try to hike up, together!Biggrin
