The enduring longevity of Rolling Stones and its members is ... incredible. Kudos to Mick for continuing to be vibrant and relevant at 70!

My parents no doubt disapproved of a lot of the rock music I listened to when I was a teenager, but they never said anything except about the Rolling Stones, about which they said, "How can you listen to that trash? It'll just yelling and banging."

I think our parents thought alike John. And it wasn't just the Stones. When I went to Woodstock in 1969 I thought they were going to disown me.

I hope I don't come across as churlish, but I think the "stones" are the most over rated, over blown rock act there has ever been,if you have ever heard them live they are the most weak sounding of all the top "acts".And THIS video proves JUST that point.Terrible.I just don't know how you can possibly think this is good,John.
They are where they are simply because it's fashionable to be a "stones" fan.
I have had many chances to see them over the years and have never once ever wanted to.(they are the only big name I have not seen)

Sam.
PS just play "Live at Leeds" to hear a REAL ROCK BAND.

The Stones had songs I loved (The Last Time, Satisfaction) and at least one that I loathed when it first came out and still cannot listen to to this day (Angie). It really is amazing how long they've been on the go. However, I'd still rather listen to Beethoven. Biggrin
