I have the 3XL in 'all-tortoise' ... the larger knot does perform very well!
I asked Lee if he could do the opposite - full Tortoise in 3XL and with a band in faux ivory, but Lee told me he didn't have enough tortoise material at the moment to make a 3XL handle.
But I could get a faux ivory and then Lee could use the material he left of the Tortoise and turn the handle in that design instead.
Now I'm glad I picked this design as it's quite beautiful.....

Yeah, the jade Simpson 2-Band bulb is a looker too. Also a very nice brush indeed
I only use paper towels when I take pics of already cleaned brushes, that are placed on not so clean dinner tables og desks

I was at one point, but could not sell my precious badgers - my collection is too fine for that IMHO
Maybe if Mühle continues to make them even better in STF v3 in 2014 - or maybe still not

Lee turns the handles after the Rooney design, which I believe he also was the person who originally started/designed.
So no coincidence that this M&F handle is looking just like a Rooney handle
He has been busy, and you have to accept his way of communication - it took 4 weeks from start to finish with this brush - including 2 weeks where Lee never got my reply, because the email was stuck in email spam filter.

Thanks - I also love the Chubby 3 Manchurian in amber yellow too
Will hopefully soon get 4 new Simpson limited edition custo made brushes to add to my little collection.
You only see 1/3 of my collection in the first photo.
It's not a huge collection like Ben's or Dr. P's - but I imagine it is larger than most mens brush collections
I think I have 65 brushes now, 54 badgers, 10 synthetics & one boar-badger mixed brush
